Terry Basol, field agronomist with Iowa State University Extension, said as of last week, just 44 percent of soybean fields in northeast Iowa had been harvested. State-wide, just 32 percent of soybeans had been harvested.

Corn harvest has also been significantly delayed. In northeast Iowa, just 12 percent of corn has been taken out of fields, with 9 percent harvested in north central Iowa. Statewide, 13 percent of corn has been harvested.
