Wolf Mansion transforms into haunted house

If you see something strange in historic Wolf Mansion this time of year, chances are it’s not a trick of the mind.

The Rotary Club of Parkersburg and the Parkersburg Historical Society have once again teamed up for the Historical Haunted House.

On Oct. 28, the Parkersburg Historical Home will be transformed from a preservation of early Parkersburg history to a four-level horror fest.

Rotary Club member Kevin Truax said he couldn’t disclose the theme of this year’s house or what lurks behind the corners, but promised that every room comes with its own secret.

“We are going to try some tricks and things we’ve learned over the years,” he said. “I have something special planned for the attic.”
