Bruns signs with Grand View women's hoops

PARKERSBURG – Jenna Bruns bought into basketball.

That says a lot for the multi-sport standout at Aplington-Parkersburg, but a state run with the Falcon girls helped solidify her commitment to the sport, and she signed on the dotted line with Grand View University's women's basketball program last Friday morning in the high school library.

Bruns was a two-time 1st-team pick in the All-NICL East basketball teams and was also on the all-academic team and the IGCA's All-District teams.

As A-P prepared for the second half of their season this winter over the Christmas break, Bruns said was drawn more and more to the game, after spending time debating between basketball and volleyball as her college path.

"Focusing more on basketball made me realize that that's truly what I want to do in the future," Bruns said. "It really sparked that inside of me. … I really think with college that I'll be able to take my game to the next level."
