Eclipse News-Review wins awards

The Parkersburg Eclipse News-Review won three awards announced at the Iowa Newspaper Foundation’s Better Newspaper Contest on Friday.

Eclipse Publisher Jake Ryder won second place in the Best Sports Story category. The Butler County Visitor’s Guide won first place in Best Special Section Advertising and best of class.

“Butler County should be very proud of this well-designed section! The color scheme and headings really help draw the reader through. There is plenty of stunning ad design as well!” the judge’s comment said.

The section was designed by Graphic Designer Danielle Potkonak with ads sold by Marketing Consultant David Vallery.
