A-P girls track wins three in Eldora

ELDORA – Aplington-Parkersburg girls track and field won three events toward a seventh-place team finish at a South Hardin girls invite last Friday.


A-P scored 52 points, trailing AGWSR in sixth with 56 points. Iowa Falls-Alden ran away with the team title, scoring 170 points.


Sophia Jungling won the 200-meter dash on Friday, and anchored two winning relays. The 4x200 team of Sommer Stotler, Avery Groen, Megan Johnson and Jungling won in 1:53.79 and the sprint medley quartet of Stotler, Groen, Karson DeGroote and Jungling won in 1:54.71.


Kylie Fobian had A-P's best finish in a field event, placing eighth in the shot put with a top throw of 33 feet, 3 inches.
