Parkersburg council passes city budget

The Parkersburg City Council on March 13 passed the city budget for Fiscal Year 2018.

As approved, total budgeted revenues are slated for $2,520,881. This is an increase from the current Fiscal Year’s mark of $2,368,097.

Parkersburg Mayor Perry Bernard said the increase is due to continued building and growth, road use funds related to the increased gas tax at the state level and increased water and sewer revenues.
