A-P's Ellis signs with DMACC golf

PARKERSBURG – Dylan Ellis is willing to put in the work to make his golf dreams a reality.

The Aplington-Parkersburg senior signed with Des Moines Area Community College's golf program in a Thursday signing ceremony at Aplington-Parkersburg High School.

The Bears, national qualifiers in the 2016-17 season, will now add Ellis, who finished tied for second at the Class 2A State Golf Meet earlier this year in his junior season and is expected to be a core contributor in his final season on the links with the Falcons.

"He has the love of golf," A-P head coach Gary Flanigan said. "He'll go out and chip and putt as the sun is going down, he'll play 36 holes a day, and he's got the talent to go along with it. His hard work paid off and he had a good individual season in a good season for our team last year and hopefully he can continue that this year."
