In Loving Memory of Mary Ann Wildeboer
Mary Ann (Powell) Wildeboer, age 86, of Parkersburg, IA, was born on January 1st, 1940 in Shell Rock, IA, the daughter of George and Esther (Peters) Powell. Mary was united in marriage to Duane (Bud) Wildeboer on December 12th, 1958 in New Hartford, IA. Mary graduated from New Hartford High School in New Hartford, IA in 1958. Throughout her life, Mary worked as a bookkeeper at a local bank, Butler County Public Health, and had various other jobs. After her retirement, Mary did not slow down and continued helping two of her sons with their businesses.
Mary was a member of Hope Reformed Church in Parkersburg. She participated in the Couples Club and JOY group. Mary was a very caring and hardworking person who enjoyed spending time with her family and going to three generations of various school activities. She also enjoyed gardening, shopping, sitting on her back patio, cleaning, decorating her house, and cooking. Mary’s greatest joy in life was taking care of her family.
Mary went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 11th, 2026 at MercyOne Hospital in Waterloo. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lester, Harold, Ronald, Russell, and Darrell Powell; and infant great-granddaughter, Hadley Rogers.
Mary is survived by her husband of 67 years, Duane Wildeboer; her children, Kim (Randy) Brocka, Scott (Jackie) Wildeboer, Pam Hackman (Scott Sickles), Todd (Deb) Wildeboer, and Matt (Emily) Wildeboer; eleven grandchildren, Elicia (Chris) Luhring, Natalie (Derrick) Rogers, Riley (Haley) Brocka, Tyler (Nicole) Wildeboer, Chance (Alex) Wildeboer, Tessa (Mike) Allison, Trent Hackman, Jared (Whitney) Wildeboer, Chase (Lakin) Wildeboer, Hunter McBride, and Ava McBride; and 21 great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Pat and Carol Powell.
