Leah’s Gift & Card Shoppe celebrates 15 years

This month marks 15 years for Leah Ingalls at Leah’s Gift and Card Shoppe in downtown Parkersburg.

“This is where I grew up. It has always been home to me,” Ingalls said. “I just love our little small town atmosphere, and the people here are so friendly. I have some good, loyal customers.”

Ingalls worked as a dental assistant for 14 years, and had never given a thought to owning her own business, when the previous owner asked her if she would be interested in purchasing the gift shop. She decided to take the plunge.

“I didn’t have a clue of what I was doing,” Ingalls said.
