Parkersburg residents encouraged to participate in CDBG survey

The City of Parkersburg asks residents approached for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) survey this week to participate.

A contracted survey crew will visit Parkersburg for the second time this week to conduct an informal survey to determine if the city qualifies for a grant program. The grant funds would then help finance construction and improvements to the city’s water mains.

City administrator Chris Luhring said the grant could range anywhere between $300,000 to $500,000. He said this is vital to ensure all necessary improvements are made to the water main project.
