Snow’s arrival means winter driving is near

It’s that time of year again.

Snow flew in Butler County for the first time since March, marking the potential arrival of winter.

With snow comes hazardous driving conditions. Butler County officials offered safety tips and information how the county combats the winter weather.

Mitch Nordmeyer, Emergency Management Coordinator, said first and foremost, motorists need to be aware of conditions and leave plenty of time if travel is necessary.

“You need to allow more time,” he said. “It’s been a number of months since we’ve had the possibility of slick roads.”
