Two arrested after damaging a hotel room

A Parkersburg couple, Gregory Risse, 58, and Traci Bartholomew, 43, were arrested in connection with a January 4 incident where a hotel room in Parkersburg was damaged.

Damages are estimated at $1500. The room will require professional cleaning and sanitation. Sheets and pillow cases were left bloodied, other hotel property was damaged, and a powdery white substance was found in the room, that, according to court records, tested positive for methamphetamine via a field test kit.

Risse was arrested on Thursday, January 18 and charged with criminal mischief 2nd degree, domestic abuse assault and possession of controlled substance.

Risse is also charged with a violation of probation from a 2014 incident where he pled guilty to dominion/control of firearm/offensive weapon by felon, domestic abuse assault and interference with official acts.

Bartholomew was found with minor injuries. She was arrested on January 6 and charged with second degree criminal mischief, possession of a controlled substance and possession.
