EAGLE GROVE — Bonnie Alberta (Knock) Toillion passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the age of 87 years, in her home in Eagle Grove.

     Visitation will be held at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove on Thursday, Oct. 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. with funeral services on Friday, at 11 a.m. at Foust Funeral Home.  Bonnie will be buried next to Roger in Troy Cemetery. 

    Bonnie Alberta (Knock) Toillion was born the youngest of seven children to Ontje (Andy) and Elizabeth Knock on March 20, 1936. She was raised in Parkersburg and graduated from Parkersburg High School. Bonnie attended Lindenwood College in St. Charles, Mo. and graduated from the University of Iowa. She was a teacher in the Eagle Grove School system as well as that of Humboldt High School and Iowa Central Community College (ICCC). She was employed by ICCC from 1980 through 1996 as an employment coordinator. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, Phi Gamma Nu, and Beta Sigma Phi sororities. She was also active in the Eagle Grove Community Chorus. She was united in marriage with Roger Toillion of Eagle Grove in 1960. 

Bonnie leaves behind her children: Kathryn (Larry) Aswegan of New Hartford; Joseph Toillion of Jewel; David Toillion of North Liberty; Diane Jessen of Eagle Grove; Margaret (Gary) Steffensmeier of Puerto Rico and Farmington; and Michael Toillion of Thor; grandchildren: Kreg and Kasey Walters; Zachary and Jordan Toillion, and Haley (Drew) Frederick; Alexis Toillion; Crystal (Brandon) Meyer, Alissa (Bart) Asche, and Colton Jessen; Harlan, Elizabeth, Isabella, Abigail, and Brianna Steffensmeier; Natasha (Jermaine) Stovall, Logan and Jagger Toillion; great grandchildren: Brecken, Berkley, and Journey Walters; Harper Jo and Dayton Frederick; Makaya Toillion and Tevin Barnes; Reid and Mila Meyer; Roman and Canary Stovall; brother Richard Knock of Cedar Falls; and many beloved nephews and nieces. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger, on June 16, 2006; parents - Andy and Elizabeth Knock; two sisters - Esther Langfritz and Elizabeth Lois Adelmund; three brothers - Wallace, Markley, and Henry Knock; a nephew - Randy Knock; two grandsons - Lucas Toillion and Kristopher Walters; and a son-in-law - Brad Jessen.
