D-NH girls soccer charges past Trojans

TAMA – Six different girls scored in Dike-New Hartford girls soccer’s 10-0 blitz of South Tama at South Tama High School on Friday.

Camille Landphair led the Wolverine assault with four goals; Becca Jorgensen added two goals and Gentry Swarts, Lora Apel, Alaina Steffen and Ana Bering all had one tally each. Sophia Hoffmann distributed five assists, while Landphair, Bering and Lexie Fager dished out one assist a piece.

D-NH put 26 shots on goal and ended the match at the 69th minute. Sophomore goalkeeper Miranda Tyler saw no attacks on her net.

The Wolverines are ranked ninth in Class 1A in the first set of rankings from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. Area teams in the rankings are Columbus Catholic in fifth and Hudson in 11th. Davenport Assumption is ranked No. 1.
