Aplington-Parkersburg senior Christian Haugstad was one of 20 players selected to the IBCA academic all-state boys basketball team.

Haugstad and the other recipients were honored at the boys state basketball tournament on March 11.

The team is selected by an IBCA panel from more than 140 applicants. The 20 players selected average an ACT composite score of 28, a scoring average of 15 points per game, and a grade point average of 4.0.
