A-P boys win Les Penick title

Aplington-Parkersburg boys track and field won the team title at BCLUW’s Les Penick Relays in Conrad last Thursday.

The Falcons scored 142 points to best the hosts by 17 points.

Kaden Huttinger and Jayden Mackie finished 1-2 in the 110 hurdles; Huttinger won in 15.68 and Mackie came in at 15.88.

Mackie, Aidan Junker, Nash Arkulari and Huttinger won the shuttle hurdle relay in 1:05.81. Jesse Washington won the 3,200 in 10:49.01. Mackie cleared 6 feet in the high jump to win and jumped 20 feet, 3.25 inches for the win in the long jump. Carson Troyna won the shot put with a best throw of 45 feet, 3.5 inches.

The 4x400 team of Adam Schipper, Nick Neuroth, Huttinger and Joe Johnson placed second, as did the 4x800 quartet of Neuroth, Devin Davis, Sam Livingood and Jack Eddy and Junker, Kael Stotler, Eddy and Schipper in the sprint medley. Huttinger was second in the 400 hurdles.

Junker, Eddy, Andrew Ogle and Kael Schoneman teamed up for third in the 4x200. Schipper was third in the 400.
