CLEAR LAKE – Aplington-Parkersburg outlasted Clear Lake to win a penalty-kick shootout for a 3-2 victory over the Lions on Friday.

The Falcons improved to 1-1 overall. Carley Hook and Makenna Brouwer scored goals in regulation for A-P, with Kennedy Lind contributing an assist. No details of the shootout were made available at press time.

A-P goalkeeper Kaylee Johnson made 11 saves.

Next up for the Falcons is a rematch with the Lions, this time in Aplington, on Monday, April 19.
