Aplington-Parkersburg girls soccer lost to Grundy Center/Gladbrook-Reinbeck and Denver in matchups early last week.

The Falcons (0-4) lost to GC/G-R, 5-0, on April 11 in Reinbeck; Denver won 6-1 at the Denver Athletic Complex on April 12.

Reece Gordon scored a first-half hat trick to carry GC/G-R to a 3-0 halftime lead. Kaylee Johnson made 16 saves in net for A-P. The Falcons were credited with one shot attempt by Carley Hook in a defensive gem from GC/G-R.

Hook had the only tally in the matchup with Denver on an assist from Olivia Onken in the second half. Johnson made 15 saves against the Cyclones - Denver led 3-0 at halftime.
