WATERLOO - Cedar Falls girls bowling, which includes D-NH student Anna Frahm on the roster, finished third at the Class 3A state team tournament at Cadillac XBC in Waterloo last week.

Beginning this season, the state associations split state competition into a team-based and individual-based competitions, with the latter taking place at Maple Lanes in Waterloo.

The Tigers rolled a 2,740 final score in their 15 preliminary bakers. They then won a 1-game baker tie-breaker with Davenport Central to secure the fifth seed for bracket play, which consisted of a best-of-5 baker game format.

Cedar Falls swept Linn-Mar in the first round, and then came up short in a 3-2 loss to top-seeded Ottumwa. In the third-place match, Cedar Falls won 3-1 over Dubuque Senior to secure the third-place trophy.

Frahm is a junior at D-NH and averaged 194.3 pins per game this season with the Tigers with a high game of 243 and a high series of 452.
