Union carolers to perform

Union High School’s traveling group of carolers will perform at Parkersburg Christian Reformed Church, 807 Grant Street at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18. The carolers will be accompanied by Tuba-Tim and the Dohrn-Hags, a brass quartet of Tim Pollock, Adam Dohrn, Christian and Cameron Haugstad.

The Union Carolers are an auditioned group of 16 students, grades 9-12 at Union High School in La Porte City. The Carolers travel to over 50 performances in and around the Cedar Valley over the course of the holiday season, performing a variety of styles of music that ranges from traditional to contemporary.

The Union Carolers perform for donations that support vocal music at Union. Now in their 18th season, the Carolers are excited to be performing after a year on pause in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The group is under the direction of Casey Tecklenburg. Groups interested in booking the Carolers for a performance should contact Mr. Tecklenburg at 319-342-2697.
