HAMPTON – Payton Petersen figured something was up when her teammates made it a point to make sure she got the ball last Wednesday night.

Few teams in Class 2A spread the ball around like Dike-New Hartford girls basketball.

But with the regional final with West Fork firmly in hand in the second half, Petersen’s teammates wanted to do something special for the sophomore.
